Each year, the Utah Chapters of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) hold a Day of Remembrance event, marking the fateful and historic date of February 19, 1942, which resulted in 110,000 persons of Japanese ancestry, two thirds of whom were American citizens being incarcerated. This year’s event brings the Japanese-American and Muslim Communities together to discuss the current political climate and parallels to Japanese-American history of exclusion and internment.

We hope you will join us for this important dialogue.
